Asunción / Panama City. In the framework of her recent visit to Panama, Norma Barrios, Board Member of GEN Paraguay, held a productive and strategic in-person meeting with Jorge Luis Burgos D., Executive Director of GEN Panama.
Beyond consolidating and celebrating the deep bonds of friendship that unite both communities, the occasion was key to coordinating high-level joint actions regarding the major global milestones shaping the entrepreneurial ecosystem's agenda for 2026.
During the working session, both leaders reviewed the international platforms where both Paraguay and Panama will establish a strong institutional presence, building synergies across three fundamental pillars:
- Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC): A joint effort focused on driving emerging talent and boosting the scaling of regional startups, facilitating their access to international markets.
- Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC Doha 2026): Aligning efforts and delegations ahead of the global congress to be held in Qatar from September 21 to 24, ensuring a solid Latin American representation.
- Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW 2026): Strategic planning for the ecosystem's flagship celebration (November 16 to 22), a global initiative in which both nations have actively participated as key protagonists and co-organizers for nearly two decades, promoting entrepreneurial culture, innovation, and formalization.
