Penn State UP--Flavor Flight: Handcrafting a Distillery Business
Founded in 2014 by Penn State alumni Kevin Lloyd and Paula Cipar, Big Spring Spirits currently produces 10 products, including vodka, several rums, gins, whiskies, and bourbon cream. Kevin will share how together they created a business focused on “local” that helps support the local economy through both ingredient sourcing and tourism. Plus, learn about the steps taken by Big Spring Spirits to become the first Gold LEED-certified distilleries in the nation. "Tamed down" versions of popular Big Spring Spirits cocktails will be provided.
