Penn State University Park - Moichor Table Discussion

We need your help in conducting user experience studies! The first 25 people to stop by Moichor’s table will receive a Starbucks gift card.

Moichor is a smartphone app combined with test strips that provides a complete blood count (CBC). It allows chemotherapy patients to monitor white blood counts from home, small clinics to cut costly lab subscription fees, and pharmaceutical companies to streamline data collection.

Founder
Karbasi was a participant in the Happy Valley LaunchBox FastTrack Accelerator in 2017-18.  Shevy won the $30,000 Inc.U competition called “The Competition,” sponsored by PennTap (The Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program) this year. His startup group is called Moichor and their product is HemoGo. It is a smartphone app that combines with test strips to provide a complete blood count in 30 seconds. The idea is to reduce stress and infection risk to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. It reduces the need for individuals to travel to a lab for routine blood tests. Shevy was awarded $10,000 to participate in the 13-week Summer Founders Program this past summer at the Happy Valley LaunchBox where alumni entrepreneurs mentor program participants on their startups.
