Mariarosa Lunati, Head of Head of Entrepreneurship, Productivity and Micro Data, Statistics Directorate, OECD
The mission of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. In the entrepreneurship realm, the OECD leads several efforts, such as
- The Entrepreneurship Indicators Programme (EIP), a coordinated effort to agree on a policy-relevant, analytical model, build a measurement infrastructure and gather comparable data.
- The annual Entrepreneurship at a Glance report, which contains indicators of business demography at the regional level, and explores differences within countries in the birth, death and survival rate of enterprises. The publication also shows additional breakdowns by sector for the main indicators to illustrate the diversity of patterns, and correlations between indicators to assist the interpretation of results.
