Landscape Analysis of AI Startups in Africa

This study categorizes startups based on their focus areas, stages of development, and geographical distribution, offering a clear picture of the current AI landscape in Africa. The report highlights the rapid growth of the AI sector in Africa, with startups leveraging AI to address critical issues in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and finance. Using proprietary vocabulary and data collection methods, the study identified 669 AI startups, with 63% in the initial and intermediate stages of growth.
