Study Day: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Algeria

On November 21, 2024, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the École Supérieure de Gestion et d’Économie Numérique (ESGEN) organized a study day titled "Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Algeria: Opportunities and Challenges." The event was held in collaboration with BLUE, the Entrepreneurship Development Center (CDE), and the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI).

The study day focused on critical themes such as Algeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, funding mechanisms like NESDA, and the role of intellectual and industrial property in fostering innovation. Participants, including researchers, students, and entrepreneurship experts, had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about the current challenges and opportunities for Algerian entrepreneurs.

The program featured insightful presentations by renowned experts, interactive panel discussions, and the sharing of practical experiences. Topics included the role of entrepreneurship in economic development, the legal aspects of intellectual property, and the support mechanisms available to small and medium enterprises through national agencies.

This event highlighted ESGEN’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, supporting innovative ideas, and helping students and entrepreneurs bring their projects to life, ultimately contributing to Algeria’s economic growth and sustainability.
