A TOP 50 Venture Capital Investor with $150 m fund is coming to Wilmington

The Rise of the Rest movement is a bus tour of 2nd tier cities that are outside of Silicon Valley, Boston and NY.

The Rise of the Rest is also the name of the book by Steve Case.

In 2015, I BEGGED the Rise of the Rest tour to come to Wilmington NC when they toured from Richmond, Durham, Charleston, Atlanta to New Orleans.

I even sat next to Steve Case at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin TX and met the with lead organizer of the tour.

I met David Hall at the Triangle Startup Week and with persistent follow up, he agreed to visit and speak in Wilmington.

We have also added Tim McLoughlin of Cofounders Capital as the moderator of the Riverside Chat with Mr. Hall after his opening comments. Cofounders Capital of Raleigh / Cary has invested twice in Wilmington.
