On the opening day of Global Entrepreneurship Week in London, Dell’s Entrepreneur in Residence,Ingrid Vanderveldt, officially launched the company's UK Centre for Entrepreneurs which is a community for entrepreneurs that helps innovators grow.

Vanderveldt had this to say on the new Centre for Entrepreneurs blog

We are proud the Dell Center for Entrepreneurs is going global and there’s no better place for us to go next than into the exploding startup scene in the UK. With over 200,000 companies already founded this year, a burgeoning tech start-up scene and a host of government-backed and private sector funding schemes, it’s no secret that the U.K. has a thriving entrepreneurial community. However, with many facing issues including access to finance and business growth, support from the private sector has become more crucial than ever.

And we’re here to help. Given the success of the U.S. Center for Entrepreneurs, we’re excited to be expanding and launching our U.K. programme today. Whether you’re an early-stage startup doing this all for the first time or a seasoned, entrepreneurial veteran we have business-building advice and opportunities to offer you at the Centre for Entrepreneurs.

You will hit a roadblock, you will have questions and you will need a partner who has grown from a startup to a Fortune 50. Access to technology, customers and networks are critical to early-stage companies. As the World’s Largest Startup, we’re right here with you, and have 30 years of experience to help you innovate, create and pen the next chapter to your entrepreneurial story.

The launch of the Centre isn't the only thing on the agenda for Vanderveldt during Global Entrepreneurship Week.

She also served as a judge for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards taking place Tuesday night. The short list of finalists were announced last month and the grand finals announced winners in eighteen categories including Digital Entrepreneur, Export Company and Serial Entrepreneur.

As GEW continues, she will make more stops in Europe continuing to promote entrepreneurs and the work that Dell is doing to foster the next generation.
