GEN in United Kingdom

GEN has deep ties to the United Kingdom. In 2008, GEN launched Global Entrepreneurship Week in the UK as a national campaign to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship. It was an immediate success and the model quickly gained international traction. Today, GEW reaches more than 10 million people annually through over 40,000 events across 200 countries and territories. GEN’s work in the UK is supported by some of Britain’s most impactful ecosystem leaders as GEN Global Leaders. These individuals are deeply engaged in supporting entrepreneurship in the communities and fields, and many run GEN programs. GEN Global Leaders advise on program development, facilitate local and global connectivity, and amplify opportunities for founders, investors, and other ecosystem stakeholders.

GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT

Entrepreneurs Thrive Here: Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026

Millions of people around the world have the ideas, talent, and ambition to build something better for themselves and their communities — but have never seen entrepreneurship as a path available to them. Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place November 16-22, 2026, changes that. This campaign meets people where they are and connects them to the networks, tools, and support to take that first step — showing what’s possible in their own communities.
