The Centre for Entrepreneurs (CFE) - a leading British entrepreneurship foundation - will be helping to lead Global Entrepreneurship Week in the UK, following an agreement with Global Entrepreneurship Network.
CFE works to empower the UK's entrepreneurial ecosystem and has fueled countless successful businesses through its legacy programmes. It is now innovating through new platforms and programmes to blend its knowledge and experience with market-leading technology to unlock even greater possibilities for aspiring founders across the UK.
Centre for Entrepreneurs CEO Tim Barnes said:
"Global Entrepreneurship Week is a powerful campaign that delivers ongoing celebration and promotion of entrepreneurship. It is particularly treasured within the UK where the campaign originated as Enterprise Week in 2004 before Gordon Brown partnered with the Kauffman Foundation to make it global.
Anchor events including the British Library's Start-up Day, the Tata Varsity Pitch Competition, and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards have been rooted in GEW from the start, as have thousands of events across schools, colleges and universities.
The Centre for Entrepreneurs is looking forward to working with GEN and the vibrant UK entrepreneurial ecosystem to further strengthen Global Entrepreneurship Week in the UK and cement its role at the heart of year-round entrepreneurship promotion campaigns".
