Black Gold Trivia Night

One of our most beloved recurring events, Black Gold Trivia Night highlights the contributions of historic Black Wall Street entrepreneurs and business owners while testing your Black history knowledge. A fun event for all ages,  teams of 4 will compete for prizes, enjoy food, fellowship, and shop-limited Greenwood Ave. pieces - honoring the history of Black Wall Street and celebrating the spirit of Black Entrepreneurship in Tulsa and around the world.

For the grand finale of Black Gold 2024 and this special Global Entrepreneurship Week edition- we will welcome several community leaders to teach us a little bit more about Black History and share the work their organizations are doing to carry on the legacy of Black Wall Street!

Guests: 

Kuma Roberts is the Executive Director of the Black Wall Street Chamber, helping current Tulsa entrepreneurs continue to make history in the spirit of Greenwood.

Kristi Williams is a National Geographic Wayfinder. She created Black History Saturdays to educate and combat the state's ban on teaching Black History in schools.

Obum Ukabam is an actor, director and creator of Black Broadway Tulsa where is creating space for actors in Tulsa to pursue their dreams of being on stage.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW)  is a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.
