3D Systems President and CEO Abe Reichental was so excited about the DIY Entrepreneurship Challenge that he immediately donated five Cube 3D printers as a prize. The Kauffman Foundation,Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) and DIY.org, a platform for youth to learn skills and share what they make and do, launched the competition to give the world’s do-it-yourself youth a chance to be entrepreneurial.
Reichental’s printers are added to a list of prizes that will go to the community that earns the most official entrepreneurship badges of GEW.
DIY is an online platform for kids to get skills and meet others who share the same passions. Every member has their own portfolio where they share what they make and do, and earn embroidered skill patches for completing sets of challenges. The big idea is that anyone can become anything just by trying.
More information about the full prize package is available on the DIY Entrepreneurship Challenge page.
