Accessing 'public' funds to fund the growth of startups and small businesses

The panel will provide an overview of three publicly funded financial support programs available to small businesses in Missouri and Kansas. MTC's IDEA Fund uses state and federal funds to invest in MO based companies. Network Kansas uses state and federal funds to invest in KS based companies. Justine PETERSEN offers fixed-interest rate business loans to underserved entrepreneurs in MO who may not qualify for traditional bank loans through their IgniteMO Small Business Loan Participation Program (funded by federal SSBCI funds). Panelists could be Jack Scatizzi or Julia Campbell from MTC, Trish Brasted or a member of her team from Network Kansas, and Sheri Flanigan from IgniteMO.
