Thriving in The Age of Adaptation: Linking Technical Innovations with Adaptive Problem-
Solving

Humanity has entered the Age of Adaptation, a new era that has laid bare the deficiencies of our linear,
technical, siloed approaches to designing systems and innovation. Yet, this persistent framework
continues to keep many companies and organizations stuck using outdated and ineffective models,
strategies, and tools, hindering them from achieving greater impact and long-term success.

This session will feature a new approach to leading in a world characterized by deep disruption,
accelerating change, and increasing uncertainty. Through the SIE CoLab’s Adaptive Problem-Solving
Framework, participants will learn about critical tools and processes to effectively frame and address
complex challenges. You’ll also explore how the SIE CoLab’s Seven Adaptive Changemaker
Archetypes provide the critical guidance and scaffolding to successfully address these challenges in
service to people, planet, and prosperity.

This dynamic, hands-on workshop will change the way you see and approach innovation. It is for all
Impact Week TLH attendees across the startup, small business, investor, nonprofit, and higher
education communities who are grappling with the unique challenges of our rapidly changing world,
see themselves as changemakers, and are eager to help design, lead, and model a new way forward.
