For the past few years, Global Entrepreneurship Week has surveyed high-impact entrepreneurs around the world to better understand the local climate to start and scale new firms.
The 2014 version of the GEW Policy Survey is now online and accepting responses – translated into eight languages with others pending.
While startups are now a global phenomenon and entrepreneurs are creating new firms just about everywhere, the level of support they receive varies greatly based on the region. Participants are asked to respond to 12 statements about their experiences in the areas of regulation, access to resources and entrepreneurial environment.
The survey is conducted in the months leading up to GEW with data on a national level provided to GEW hosts in order to plan policy summits and discussions in their countries. GEW Global will share survey results and outline key findings in a report released during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The intent is for survey outcomes and subsequent discussions to help inform future policy decisions affecting new and young firms around the world.
Last year’s report provides a benchmark to assess year-on-year changes in national ecosystems.
The sample size of this year’s Policy Survey is expected to grow and GEW remains committed to furthering informed policy and entrepreneurial research data in support of entrepreneurial ecosystems around the world.
Go to the website and take the policy survey by September 30, 2014.
