The three finalists of the competition will be flown to New York City during Global Entrepreneurship Week where they will ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange, attend the NYSE Movers and Changers Forum, and present their plans to a panel of industry executives.

The winner will receive $25,000 in seed money to help his or her company start off on the right foot.

Tune in to see the event live on Tuesday, November 16 from 9:45 am – 11:00 am ET.

Last year’s forum included a mix of top business leaders and entrepreneurs including Blake Mycoskie, founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS Shoes; Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus; Stephen Hanson, Founder and President of BR Guest Restaurant Group; and Barry Sternlicht, Chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group.

Last year the judges chose Tulane University’s Nic Lagatta, Shea Shelton and Jay Zhao as their grand prize winner. Their “Wet Tea” business idea was to raise social awareness, foster community involvement and provide monetary support for the preservation and reconstruction for the Gulf Coast Wetlands. For each box of tea sold, the group’s plan included planting one baby cypress, while also vowing to work with local state and non-profit entities to help support communities in South Louisiana through hands-on wetlands restoration.
