President Barack Obama recently declared Friday, November 22, to be 'National Entrepreneurs Day' in the U.S. and members of the U.S. Congress are trying to make that day permanently occur during Global Entrepreneurship Week

In the meantime, the White House is hosting a Google+ Hangout today as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. 'We the Geeks: Students with Startups' features the extraordinary stories of young entrepreneurs—students who, along with all the usual demands of pursuing a high school, college, or a graduate degree, are building companies today that are spreading homegrown ideas all over the world. Two proven entrepreneurs featured on the popular TV show Shark Tank--Daymond John and Barbara Corcoran--will join these student innovators to share lessons from their own entrepreneurial journeys.

'We the Geeks' is a new series of Google+ Hangouts from the Obama Administration to highlight the future of science, technology and innovation in the United States. Topics such as commercial space exploration, science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education, turning science fiction to science fact, and others will be discussed with Administration officials and key private sector contributors.

Join the conversation using the hashtag #WeTheGeeks and be sure to sign up for email updates about future "We the Geeks" hangouts.
