University Of Akron 10K Startup Challenge

Have an idea to improve the community? University of Akron $10K Startup Challenge is a pitch competition where University of Akron students have a chance to compete for a top prize of $10,000 to benefit the community.

Join us for the finals of the $10,000 Startup Challenge, where the top prize of $10,000 will be awarded to the student team at the University of Akron with the best business idea. Watch the students pitch and help select the top prize winner by voting for your favorite team! Participants will be presenting their business ideas that they have worked on for the 8 weeks of programming including mentorship, guest speakers and skills workshops. The audience vote will count for 45% of the results, and the judges’ vote will comprise the remaining 55%.

Additional prizes will be awarded to runners-up. Think of this like "Shark Tank," except you are competing for prize money for a social cause you care about.
