Johannes Lindner

The first winner of the Ashoka Fellow Award on behalf of Austria, Johannes teaches entrepreneurship and economics at the Schumpeter Business School as well as the head of department Entrepreneurship education at the University College of Education Vienna/Krems. He is also one of the founders for a plethora of initiatives to support the development of entrepreneurship education such as: the federally funded “eesi Impulszentrums” Center for Entrepreneurship Education (www.eesi-impulszentrum.at) and the Initiative for Teaching Entrepreneurship (www.ifte.at). Johannes has also won many honorary positions as an expert in entrepreneurship such as the Lead-Experte of the Project SEE EcoNet, the Rotary Young Entrepreneur in Bulgaria and Bosnia & Herzegovina as well as the Hungarian Project TEA. He is also the Austrian representative at the Workinggroup Transversal Skills (and entrepreneurship education) at the DG Education of the European Union Commission. He is the editor and autor of the handbooks “Entrepreneur”, the schoolbooks “Wirtschaft gestalten” (Create Business) and has published numerous articles on the theme of Entrepreneurship Education und Business Didactic. He is also the founder of other well known programmes such as "Starte DEIN Projekt" (Start you project), „Misch dich ein – der Debattierclub“ (Get involved-debate club), „Teachers and the Economy“ and the Summer University for Entrepreneurship in Kitzbühl, Tirol. Johannes is also an adjunct lecturer for Entrepreneurship Education und Business Didactic at the University of Vienna.
