Beauty Akter

Currently, Beauty Akter is pursuing her PhD at the University of Sussex, where her research focuses on corporate entrepreneurship, including corporate venturing, accelerators, and incubators, and their impact on firm performance. She did her MBA in Entrepreneurship (2019-2021) and MA in English (2015-2016). She is active in research fields of Corporate Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Startups. Her work has been presented in many international conferences and her articles have been published in leading journals. Her research interests focus on corporate entrepreneurship, strategic management, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Her work has been published in several esteemed journals. She is an active member of the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Association for Project Management (APM). Additionally, she has served as a peer reviewer for renowned journals, including the International Journal of Management Reviews, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research, and Education + Training.

She is also working as a Lecturer at the University of Greenwich, London. With a profound passion for accelerating innovation and fostering new business creation, she brings over nine years of invaluable teaching experience in the university setting. Her deep insights into start-ups, business development, and venture capital make her a sought-after resource for students eager to navigate the dynamic landscape of entrepreneurship.

In her previous role as a faculty member at the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, she played a pivotal role in shaping the academic discourse around emerging technologies and new product development. Her commitment to promoting diversity in entrepreneurship is evident through her involvement in organising numerous programs and events focused on women entrepreneurship. Her impact extends globally through her involvement with prominent entrepreneurship organisations, including the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GERN), GEN, Startup Grind, World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), and HULT Prize at DIU.
