Entrepreneur and educator. She has always had a passion for education and entrepreneurial development. This led her to continue her university studies in Bilingual Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Family Assessment from Centro Universitario Villanueva in Madrid, Spain. She has dedicated herself to teaching students of all ages for over 12 years. She is currently the Academic Director of Kathy´s Garden and Green World School which she co-owns with her family. She has used teaching as a platform to model critical innovative thinking and leadership in her students with the firm belief that education and free enterprise are pillars for social progress. She volunteers at the Junior Achievement Foundation Honduras as a Board Member where she has also led the “Emprende tu Futuro” initiative which connected young students from Tegucigalpa with renowned local entrepreneurs who shared their experiences with them. Through her work at the Foundation, in 2014 she represented Honduras at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Moscow, Russia. It was there where she developed an interest in entrepreneurial development events like Startup Weekend, an initiative where entrepreneurs gather for 54 hours to develop technological enterprises. She is actively involved in contributing to the development of her country´s entrepreneurial ecosystem. In November 2014, she co-organized Startup Weekend for the first time in Tegucigalpa. The event was a success, to the extent that one of the winning groups developed an alliance with the Honduran Institute for Vocational Training (INFOP) to launch their app.
