I've done this as a mentor for over 400 scale-up businesses going through the British Library's Innovating for Growth Programme (where leaders rated my mentoring sessions 4.8 out of 5).

And I've done this as a fractional Head of Marketing or Strategic Communications Advisor for smaller organisations trying to make the world a better place.

Here's a bit of my personal story...

I spent my childhood as something of an outsider - a missionary kid living in places like rural Germany, big city Texas, and suburban middle England (each with their own quirks and nuances!).

But that upbringing gave me an uncanny knack to adapt, to empathise, to be curious. (A mentor called me a Chameleon for my ability to adapt quickly to different situations...)

I spent the first half of my career in comms and marketing roles within overseas development charities, including a stint passing on skills and knowledge to local NGOs in Cambodia (where I also helped launch the country's first-ever World Fair Trade Day commemoration).

Then came the invitation to blend the worlds of international development and business at said & done - the brand consultancy I eventually took ownership of in September 2020 (nothing like a global pandemic to accelerate change!)

Today, I help change-bringing organisations clarify their story and build their authority - so the world sits up and takes notice.
