Patricia Acosta

Patricia has over 15 years of experience developing entrepreneurial programs. She currently works as Sponsorship & Business Angel Manager for TiE Silicon Valley and Founding Member of the Caribbean Associates Startup Academy (CASA). 

Previously, she was the head the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Division at the Ministry of Industry, Trade & MSMEs of the Dominican Republic, connecting and articulating all stakeholder organizations (public, private and academic), so the entrepreneurs can access to the different support programs to grow their startups. In her role, Patricia also helped design policies that enable the creation of new businesses. 

Before working at the Ministry of Industry, Trade & SMEs, she was the Executive Director of Enlaces, Inc, an angel investor network in the Dominican Republic. She also worked for TiE Silicon Valley as Events & Programs Manager. She was the coordinator for the pre-acceleration program from CREE, BanReservas & Aceleración ALPHA.

Patricia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the National University Pedro Henriquez Ureña.
