About Sarah Sterling

Sarah Sterling has years of experience working with entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations on developing effective impact metrics, program development and management, social media outreach, fundraising, and team leadership skills and training. Sarah has over 5 years of experience working with and training international organizations such as Mercy Corps, Oxfam International, SOCAP, and Agora Partnerships, as well as impact investment funds, and social entrepreneurs in Latin America in areas of organizational sustainability and impact metrics development. Sarah is currently the Program Catalyst at Conveners.org and the Entrepreneur Coordinator at SOCAP.

About Nicholas Almeida

Nicholas Almeida has over 15 years of multi-sector experience across the public, nonprofit, and business sectors. His experience includes working with social entrepreneurs and impact investors to push for social innovations. He is also the co-founder of the impact investing firm Sidecar Social Finance, and served as a senior leader at Tides Foundation where he led impact investing projects. He teaches social entrepreneurship as an adjunct professor at University of San Francisco. He graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and a Master’s degree in Sociology.

About Kate Byrne

Kate Byrne is President of Intentional/SOCAP Global, the purpose-driven platform whose brands SOCAP, Total Impact and Conscious Company Media unlock capital to move markets. Through storytelling and community, SOCAP connects, educates and empowers people to invest, consume, work and live intentionally. A leader in digital media and social impact for over 25 years she has married her interest in technology and its ability to advance publishing and social good and was recognized as one of the 40 Most Influential People in Media. She has held executive positions at such well-known media outlets as Fast Company, BusinessWeek, Inc., The Tides Foundation, The George Lucas Education Foundation, and Watermark. Kate is a contributor for Authority Magazine, Marketwatch, Conscious Company Magazine, and frequent speaker (Rotary Club, SOCAP, World Changing Women Summit, Watermark Innovation, Leadership Summit, and the Shift Summit). Areas of expertise include Social Impact, Women and Power, Stakeholder Capitalism, Leadership Development. Kate serves as President of the Board for the UN Women USA SF Chapter, Board member of CORO of Northern California, and sits on the Board of C-Change Media, Concord Consortium, and Bambini Yoga. She is a Coro Women’ Leadership Cohort alum, and a member of the International Women’s Forum. She is a Commissioner on the Marin Commission for Women and Girls. Kate graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in psychology and the proud mom of two amazing young women.

G. Kofi Annan is the Statewide Lead for Global Entrepreneurship Week in California. A strategist and technologist, he has over a decade of expereicne building authentic connections between people and brands. Kofi works with entrepreneurs, startups, and global brands like Pfizer, PUMA, and Mercedes-Benz, helping them bring unique ideas and experiences into the world. Kofi's unique approach combines his cultural, analytical, and creative expertise to help build smarter brands. He has held senior roles at global communications agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather and has presented to audiences at the United Nations, Harvard University, and the SXSW Interactive Festival. Kofi's work has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and he has been recognized by the Governor of New Jersey for his work building innovation ecosystems.
