GET Fellows is a leadership and connectedness program designed to strengthen LAC entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems through the leaders and organizations that shape them.
The experience is designed to amplify Fellows’ personal, institutional, and ecosystem-level impact through peer-to-peer learning, relationships, and global opportunities.

FELLOW PROFILE
GET Fellows seeks high-potential leaders who are actively shaping the future of entrepreneurship and innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Successful applicants will typically:
Demonstrate personal leadership and ecosystem commitment
- Be positioned to influence organizational strategy, partnerships, programs, investment activities, or ecosystem-building efforts.
- Be recognized by peers as trusted collaborators who bring people, ideas, and resources together.
- Have a track record of driving meaningful change through partnerships, programs, investments, policy, or community-building efforts.
- Show curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn from and contribute to a diverse regional community.
- Be committed to advancing more inclusive, resilient, and connected ecosystems that create opportunities for entrepreneurs.
- Have the motivation and capacity to apply insights, relationships, and opportunities gained through the fellowship to generate lasting impact in their communities.
Be affiliated with organizations that contribute meaningfully to ecosystem development
Eligible applicants may come from the following stakeholder groups:
- Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs)– such as accelerators, incubators, startup support programs, entrepreneurship centers, innovation hubs, chambers of commerce, and organizations that provide services, connections, or capacity-building to entrepreneurs.
- Angel Investment – such as individual angel investors, angel network leaders, angel investment support organizations, investor associations, and other actors that mobilize early-stage capital.
- Public Sector Entrepreneurship and Innovation Initiatives– such as programs led by innovation agencies, economic development organizations, and publicly funded programs that support entrepreneurship, innovation, investment readiness, or ecosystem development.
Candidates affiliated with other ecosystem-building and investment organizations, whose activities contribute to ecosystem development, capital formation, and entrepreneurial growth, may also be considered.
Organizations represented by applicants should generally demonstrate:
- At least two years of operational activity (or an equivalent track record).
- Dedicated personnel supporting ecosystem-building activities.
- Evidence of meaningful and sustained engagement with entrepreneurs, investors, innovation stakeholders, or ecosystem-building initiatives.
SELECTION CRITERIA
GET Fellows seeks to build a diverse cohort representing different countries, ecosystem maturity levels, sectors, and perspectives from across Latin America and the Caribbean. Selection decisions consider both individual merit and the overall composition of the cohort to ensure a rich learning experience and broad regional representation.
Applications are reviewed holistically across five dimensions:
Personal Ecosystem Leadership and Track Record
Demonstrated commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, including leadership experience, achievements, and contributions to ecosystem development.Institutional Influence and Capacity
The applicant's ability to influence strategy, partnerships, programs, investment activities, or ecosystem-building efforts within their organization, as well as the organization's capacity to amplify the impact of participation and leverage new opportunities, partnerships, and resources.Commitment to Collaboration and Regional Engagement
Willingness to engage with peers, share knowledge, contribute to collective learning, and strengthen connections across entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean.Inclusion, Diversity, and Ecosystem Representation
Potential to strengthen the diversity of perspectives, geographies, communities, and ecosystem experiences represented within the cohort, including underserved or emerging ecosystems.- Growth Potential and Contribution to the Cohort

FELLOWSHIP COMMITMENTS
Selected Fellows are expected to commit to:
Program Participation
Active participation in the full GET Fellows journey, which combines virtual engagement, in-person convenings, peer exchange, and ecosystem-building activities over a one-year engagement period.
Community Contribution
Active engagement with fellow cohort members through knowledge sharing, relationship-building, collaboration, and mutual support.
Ecosystem Knowledge Sharing
A commitment to sharing relevant insights, practices, and learning with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders within your ecosystem and across the GET Platform.
Impact Measurement and Follow-up
Participation in periodic surveys and reporting activities, including sharing outcomes and impact data for up to 24 months following completion of the program.
PROGRAM FEES + SCHOLARSHIPS
Thanks to support from IDB Lab and strategic partners, the program cost reflects only a portion of the full fellowship experience. The GET Fellows participation fee is USD 1,500 per Fellow. The participation package includes complimentary registration and hotel accommodations for GET Forum 2026 in Quito, Ecuador.
The program is designed as a highly subsidized regional initiative supported by strategic partners committed to strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems across Latin America and the Caribbean.
To ensure strong regional representation and inclusion, GET Fellows will offer partial scholarships.
Scholarship consideration may be given to:
- High-impact organizations with limited financial resources
- Leaders from emerging or underserved ecosystems
- Caribbean and secondary-city ecosystems
- Women and gender-diverse leaders
- Diverse and underrepresented communities
Scholarship availability is limited and subject to program funding and partner support.
Participation in GET Fellows is competitive and cohort size is limited. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection.
