Startup Week powers creative minds in November

Adelaide, Australia is quickly becoming a hub for innovative technologies. This year for Global Entrepreneurship Week, they’re celebrating the state’s thriving local startup community of business builders, founders, investors, industry and future leaders. Some of the events include: “Celebrating Female Founders Morning Tea”, “South Australian Venture Capital Fund”, and “Innovation Districts Round Table”. 

 

Council set to celebrate the 15 Year Anniversary of Global Entrepreneurship Week

The Worcestershire County Council in the United Kingdom has organized the, Business Startup Fair in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Throughout the week, the council will be hosting events on their social media accounts to share inspiring stories, and top tips from business experts. The fair is being held, Monday November 14th at The Hive in Worcester.  

 

Venturefest South prepares largest event to date

Venturefest, a non-profit innovation showcase, is gathering for its 6th anniversary on November 17th in Southampton, United Kingdom. The showcase will celebrate entrepreneurship through many events such as the Battle of the Pitches competition, where five business will pitch their ideas for a chance to win £10,000. This event will be part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2022. 

 

Nominations open for inaugural National Presidential SMME Awards

The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) in Johannesburg is hosting the National Presidential SMME Awards on November 13th.  The awards will celebrate entrepreneurs in the local community that have been nominated by their peers. The awards ceremony will also serve as the platform to launch Global Entrepreneurship Week 2022. 

 

EVAs founder becomes North West’s first ambassador for women’s initiative

Coral Horn, an advocate for female entrepreneurship, has been selected as the North West region’s first ambassador for the Prince’s Trust Women Supporting Women Initiative. The WSW works to support and celebrate female leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, and philanthropists regardless of their backgrounds. Pink Link is hosting a Women in Business Lunch as a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week to raise awareness for the initiative. 

 

Dandelion Chandelier founder in fireside chat

Prizes on offer to enterprising young people this Global Entrepreneurship Week

For Global Entrepreneurship Week 2022, the Youth Enterprise and Micro Business Team at Hull City Council has designed a program to celebrate entrepreneurship, especially in youth entrepreneurs. The week features events such as “Be Inspired Day,” “The Craven Park Challenge,” “The Big 13 Enterprise Skills Summit,” and an awards ceremony to conclude the celebration.
