DoorDash Announces $440,000 in Relief Grants for Restaurants Impacted by Disasters

In order to assist restaurants impacted by natural disasters in the US, Canada and New Zealand, GEN, DoorDash and Hello Alice announced the recipients of the Restaurant Disaster Relief Grant program. The grants are intended to help restaurant owners that are struggling financially in the wake of natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, and floods. DoorDash aims to assist neighborhood companies that are vital to the community in times of need in their efforts to recover.

Digital Health KC earns $2M federal grant, doubled by matching funds from Kauffman Foundation

Maria Meyers of the UMKC Innovation Center informally announced this week a 2 million USD grant given by the Digital Health KC program to foster the creation of creative digital health solutions in Kansas City. The grant is being matched by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. In order to develop the digital health ecosystem, this award seeks to encourage cooperation between startups, large enterprises, and healthcare facilities. The program has a special emphasis on advancing technologies in fields including digital pharmaceuticals, telemedicine, and remote patient monitoring.


RIVER PITCH COMPETITION WINNERS WALK AWAY WITH FUNDS, USEFUL FEEDBACK
