Global Entrepreneurship Week has concluded, but events and activities inspired by the week are still taking place and making the news across every continent. The GEW team will continue to feature these clips in our weekly roundup.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) works to gather entrepreneurs around the world – bringing new audiences together and strengthening the connections of local ecosystems everywhere.

GEW 2021 took place in more than 180 countries with over 20,000 partners, 40,000 activities and 10 million people worldwide. Although Global Entrepreneurship Week has concluded, events and activities inspired by the week are still taking place and making the news across every continent. The GEW team will continue to share a weekly roundup of some of the amazing things that are happening in support of GEW on every continent.

Through the GEW Weekly Roundup, you will find a collection of 'global picks' that explore each of the four themes for this year's celebration: EducationEcosystemsPolicy and Inclusion. Below is a look at a handful of today's press coverage.

  • College Hosts Workshops for Global Entrepreneurship Week

    Barnsley College students had the opportunity to take part in a range of workshops with a panel of guest speakers, including the CEO of chocolate company Green and Blacks, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).

  • NFTE Marks Global Entrepreneurship Week with Fourth Annual Global Goals Conversation

    NFTE’s UN Global Goals Conversation is a program of the World Series of Innovation, an online competition that invites young people to propose innovative ideas to tackle difficult challenges and advance the UN SDGs. The Global Goals Conversation and the World Series of Innovation are produced as part of NFTE’s commitment to Global Entrepreneurship Week.

  • Indian Team Triumphant in Inaugural Inspiring Futures Event During GEW

    Emertech Innovations, whose supply-chain solution provides data to support a fairer deal for farmers and other supply chains has received industry recognition for its work at the inaugural Inspiring Futures, which supports entrepreneurship in UAE. Inspiring Futures was supported by FedEx Express and was hosted as a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

  • GEW Hackathon Comes to a Thrilling End

    Over 210 applications were received with 48 teams selected to participate in 6 different challenge sectors. The prize money was combined at R1.2 million.

  • IRADA Conducts 34 Events as Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week

  • Swedish Embassy in Cairo Celebrates Egyptian Female Entrepreneurs on International Day of Women Entrepreneurship
