I was fortunate to be born with the “glass half full” gene that allows me to look around with a sense of wonder and see possibilities, not problems. That is one reason I love entrepreneurs – they are optimistic to the end. However, such constant positive energy means one is always in a hurry to move forward and get on with it, often forgetting to pause and recognize all those around us on the journey.
It is for this reason that this is one of my favorite times of year in the United States. We stop for at least a day to sit with family, friends, and communities, listen to their stories, and give thanks for our blessings.
As we close out Global Entrepreneurship Week and what has been an extraordinary flurry of activity this season at GEN across the world, I would like to say thank you to all our GEN family. Thank you for volunteering your time and believing in our mission. Thank you to those who partner with and invest in us. Thank you to our employees for dedicating your professional lives, time and talents to implementing our work each and every day. Thank you to all who engage in this powerful vision of helping anyone, anywhere, find new and better ways of doing things for the benefit of all.
With gratitude,
Jonathan
