With Global Entrepreneurship Week just about halfway over, events are still pouring into the website. So which countries are leading the way?

Please keep in mind that the team at the Global Entrepreneurship Network is busy compiling data for multiple weeks after GEW finishes – so the following counts are unofficial and will change. The final counts are validated through surveys and debriefs with each of the national host organizations.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign in Brazil, led by Sebrae, the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service, currently sits on top with 1,602 events.

Trailing closely with 1,400 events is Jordan, whose national campaign is hosted by the Princess Sumaya University for Technology.

Coordinated by the team at GEN Algeria, with heavy engagement from government ministries, Algeria follows with 1,150.

Pakistan, with partner Arfa Karim Technology Incubator is responsible for more than half of the country’s 541 events.

Rounding out the top five national campaigns is the United States, catalyzed through support from the Kauffman Foundation, with 530 currently registered events.

National campaigns in the Philippines (GEN Philippines / 423), Bangladesh (Dafodil University / 333), Sri Lanka (ICT Agency of Sri Lanka / 243), Spain (Autoocupacio / 235) and United Kingdom (Centre for Entrepreneurs / 108) finish off the top 10.
