September 3, 2024 – The 17th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is coming to a community near you November 18-24. The theme for this year's campaign is "Entrepreneurship is for Everyone," with founders, investors, policymakers and entrepreneur support organizations preparing to host and participate in events that will encourage more people of all geographies, economies, and demographics to consider the path of entrepreneurship.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week movement celebrates and empowers entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world – especially those who face structural barriers or who may have never considered the opportunities and possibilities that come in the pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavours.
Each November, 10 million people take part in tens of thousands of activities, competitions and events that inspire them to act and provide them with the knowledge, experience and connections they need to succeed. The campaign is organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and powered by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation with support from strategic partners, national hosts and thousands of event organizers.
"Inspired by communities of entrepreneurs and support organizations before them, people from all walks of life are now being introduced to how teams solve problems and create opportunities for themselves and their communities. As digital tools and founder supports become more readily available, it is becoming easier to test an idea and find those to support you in bringing it to reality. Global Entrepreneurship Week invites you to explore this potential for yourself," said Jonathan Ortmans, president of GEN and co-founder of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
GEN invites organizations to get involved by adding events to the official global calendar at www.gew.co. To learn more about how to get involved, visit www.gew.co. Join the conversation online using #GEW2024 and #EntrepreneurshipisforEveryone.
