Global Entrepreneurship Network Jamaica, has bolstered in management mechanism with the appointment of three Senior Advisors. David Mullings, chairman and CEO of Blue Mahoe Capital, Robert Scott, general manager of Lifespan Company Limited and Dean of the Consular Corps of Jamaica, and Dr Dianna Davis-Smith, associate dean – Office Of Graduate Studies Excelsior Community College.
GEN Jamaica is the local arm of GEN Global, which operates programs in 200 countries around the world, aimed at making it easier for entrepreneurs to start and scale a business by fostering deeper cross-border collaboration and initiatives between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and entrepreneurial support organisations.
The appointment of Mullings, Scott and Davis-Smith, will enhance the effectiveness of the organisation in the eco-system. Senior Advisors are individual advisors. They serve a complementary role to the governing Board of Directors in helping GEN Jamaica achieve its strategic goals. They are non-executive advisors, who help round out the voices of Gen Jamaica’s main stakeholders and provide a wider sounding board as the Managing Director makes decisions.
Mullings noted that he was thankful for the appointment of what he sees as, “a critical role that directly contributes to the economic development of Jamaica and to be apart of the GEN Jamaica journey.”
