Amman, Nov. 16 (Petra) -- Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El-Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Monday sponsored the launch of the 12th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020.
This year’s edition of the entrepreneurship week focuses on education and its role in promoting and nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, according to a PSUT statement, a copy of which was obtained by Petra.
Other themes of the global week will focus on laws and government policy toward entrepreneurship and prospects for global institutions supporting entrepreneurial projects to network and team up for future cooperation.
Additionally, the event will be an opportunity to shed light on challenges facing entrepreneurs from underprivileged societal groups, put forward solutions and offer training and advice.
The university indicated that its Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship helped organize 220 entrepreneurship-related events across the Kingdom in cooperation with the European Union.
By organizing the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the center seeks to put the Kingdom on the world’s entrepreneurship map alongside 170 countries, the statement noted.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week is the largest global event that celebrates innovators and job creators who launch startups to realize their ideas on the ground, drive economic growth and improve the well-being of societies.
