Namibian innovation was showcased on a regional stage as Mindsinaction, a Namibian company, participated in GEC+ Africa in Cape Town, South Africa, through both a pitching opportunity and exhibition.

The participation provided Mindsinaction with an opportunity to introduce its business and solutions to entrepreneurs, investors, ecosystem stakeholders and other participants from across Africa and beyond.

Representing Namibia at a regional entrepreneurship platform such as GEC+ Africa provides local businesses with valuable exposure beyond the domestic market. For an emerging company, such platforms can create opportunities to develop new relationships, explore partnerships, test market interest and gain insights from entrepreneurs and ecosystem stakeholders operating in different markets.

Mindsinaction’s participation also demonstrated the value of combining pitching with exhibition. While the pitch provided an opportunity to communicate the company's proposition to a wider audience, the exhibition created space for more direct engagement and conversations around its offering.

The presence of a Namibian company at GEC+ Africa contributed to greater visibility for Namibia within the continental entrepreneurship ecosystem and highlighted the innovative businesses being developed within the country.

For GEN Namibia, facilitating opportunities for Namibian entrepreneurs to participate in regional and international platforms forms part of a broader effort to connect local businesses with the networks, knowledge and opportunities necessary to grow.

Mindsinaction’s participation is an example of how local entrepreneurs can use regional platforms to position their businesses, build relationships and contribute to the broader African innovation and entrepreneurship narrative.
