GEN in Albania
GEN has been active in Albania since at least 2010, with the GEW campaign evolving through successive host organizations before Startup Albania — launched by Prime Minister Edi Rama in 2023 — was formally recognized as national host in 2026. Policy engagement has been a defining feature, with Albanian officials participating in the Startup Nations community and representing the country at the Startup Nations Ministerial during the 2022 Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Riyadh. Albania has also been featured on GEN Atlas as a case study in diaspora entrepreneurship — notably as the platform's 500th documented policy case study. GEN maintains active relationships with the Ministry of Economy, the Prime Minister's Office, Startup Albania, and Young Entrepreneurs Albania.
