GEN in Colombia

GEN began operating in Colombia in 2009 by launching Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) through a series of events across the country. In partnership with Endeavor Colombia, more than 10,000 people participated in events hosted by government ministries, entrepreneurship support organizations (ESOs), corporations, universities and secondary schools. Successful GEW campaigns each November built community over a number of years led to GEN hosting the the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Medellín in March of 2016. GEC Medellín brought together nearly 4,000 entrepreneurship leaders from more than 100 countries with thousands more participants from Colombia.

GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT

Entrepreneurs Thrive Here: Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026

Millions of people around the world have the ideas, talent, and ambition to build something better for themselves and their communities — but have never seen entrepreneurship as a path available to them. Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place November 16-22, 2026, changes that. This campaign meets people where they are and connects them to the networks, tools, and support to take that first step — showing what’s possible in their own communities.
