Startup Albania Agency

Startup Albania is the State Agency for the Support and Development of Startups and Facilitators, established to build an innovative, collaborative, and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Albania. The agency operates within the framework of the Innovative Entrepreneurship Development Strategy 2024–2030, drafted by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Business Climate in cooperation with national and international partners. 

The strategy defines the national framework for developing the startup ecosystem by identifying the measures, actions, and resources needed to strengthen the role of innovation and entrepreneurship as drivers of economic growth. It is based on the idea that interaction between institutions, entrepreneurs, and academia is the key element linking knowledge with economic and social development.

The startup ecosystem in Albania is evolving rapidly, with incubators, accelerators, and coworking spaces creating an increasingly favorable environment for the growth of new businesses. Albanian startups are gaining attention in areas such as technology, e-commerce, and fintech, demonstrating their potential to compete in international markets. In this process, Startup Albania plays the role of a central coordinator of policies and initiatives for the development of innovative entrepreneurship. 

The agency coordinates efforts among the public, private, and academic sectors, manages the supporting infrastructure, and ensures that support for ecosystem actors is integrated and effective. At the heart of our vision lies the creation of a knowledge-based economy, where talent, creativity, and technology come together to transform ideas into sustainable economic and social value.
