On May 6, Autoocupació held a new edition of Startup Huddle Girona at Coworking B&Co, an event that gathered people eager to connect, exchange experiences, and continue strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the region.

The session, led by Guillem Arís, featured highly active participation and once again highlighted the value of the Startup Huddle format: an open conversation space where projects share real challenges and receive feedback, ideas, and experiences from the community.

During the event, two projects presented their current challenges and opened the floor to engaging discussions with participants.

On one hand, Emma Barbesà, founder of EMCARE, introduced her project, a consultancy specialised in human resources that addresses a reality often overlooked yet highly present in organisations: grief and talent loss. The project supports companies in talent detection, recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes, offering services such as professional selection and assessment, training, executive development, and conflict management. Her presentation sparked an enriching conversation around the challenges of scaling a business nationally from day one, exploring strategies to build a strong market positioning while maintaining meaningful impact within the business ecosystem.

On the other hand, Pol Caula shared the journey behind Gerunda Vintage, a vintage clothing brand with a strong identity and a distinctive value proposition within the sector. Born from a passion for sustainable fashion, the initiative focuses on giving carefully selected second-hand garments a second life, promoting more responsible and accessible consumption. His experience led to a discussion about the challenges of growing sustainably, particularly around optimising operations and strengthening financial control while preserving the brand’s essence and identity in a context of increasing demand.

The event once again demonstrated the strength of Girona’s entrepreneurial community and the importance of creating trusted spaces where people can share learnings, challenges, and future visions.

At Autoocupació, we would like to thank all attendees for their participation and involvement. Every contribution helps build a more collaborative and inspiring entrepreneurial network.

We continue connecting, learning, and growing together.
