If you are between 18 and 29 years old, are a Spanish national residing in Catalonia, and want to start your own business, the Youth Guarantee 2026 programme can provide financial support to help you turn your business idea into reality.
This grant is designed to help young people enter the labour market through self-employment. It provides financial support both for starting a business and for maintaining your status as a self-employed worker for a minimum period of 18 months.
Who can apply for the grant?
The grant is available to young people who meet the following requirements:
- Be a Spanish national and reside in Catalonia.
- Be between 18 and 29 years old, inclusive.
- Be registered in the Youth Guarantee Programme at least one day before starting the business activity.
- Have started a self-employed activity between September 23, 2025 and the date on which the application is submitted.
- Have not received this same grant in previous calls.
- Complete at least 6 hours of training or business management support.
The call includes two funding lines:
- Line 1: for businesses whose registered tax address or workplace is located in a small municipality with fewer than 500 inhabitants.
- Line 2: for businesses operating in the rest of Catalonia.
How much funding can you receive?
The amount of the grant depends on how long you remain registered as a self-employed worker:
- 12 months: €11,452.98
- 15 months: €14,529.90
- 18 months: €17,094 (maximum amount)
Please note that no grant is awarded if the business activity is maintained for less than 12 months.
If the available budget is insufficient to cover all eligible applications, the amount awarded may be reduced proportionally, by up to a maximum of 10%.
Key dates and deadlines
The main deadlines for the 2026 call are:
- Application period: from July 28, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. until September 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
- Business activity requirement: 18 months from the start date of the activity.
- Justification: within one month of the day following the end of the implementation period.
- Decision: within a maximum of six months from the publication of the call.
- Administrative silence: applications are considered rejected if no decision is issued within the applicable period.
