Sludtera will mark Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) on November 13-19 by hosting eight events. The theme for #GEW2023 is "Entrepreneurs Thrive Here", with several activities planned across the country to put the nation's entrepreneurial and innovative spirit on full display.
Digital Tools for Startups - A training session that will focus on using digital tools to maintain and develop business relationships and increase interactivity and human connection in digital communications.
Alumni Entrepreneur Panel - A panel or roundtable discussion where regional alumni entrepreneurs share their experiences in starting and growing businesses.
Startup Huddle St. Lucia - Two early-stage startup founders give a six-minute presentation about their company to a diverse audience from their local community. Each presentation is followed by a 20-minute question and answer session where the community provides ideas, connections and feedback for the entrepreneur.
Road to Riyadh: Launch of Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2024 - An information session about the Entrepreneurship World Cup which is one of the biggest and most diverse startup pitch competitions and support programs of its kind, featuring more than 370,000 entrepreneurs from over 200 countries and offering winners life-changing prizes.
Secondary School Startup Day - Being held in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development & Sports. The object of Secondary School Startup Day (SSSD) is to give students a platform to conceptualize tangible solutions to real-life problems that their school would have identified. On this day, the students will display their solutions at the school.
How to Become an Entrepreneur in 10 Days - Being held in collaboration with Evolution Public Relations Management, it is a one-day event with a showcase-style set-up. Each “day” will be a new step in the direction of becoming a mogul in the business world. Ten separate stations will represent each “day” during the one-day event, allowing for a self-guided experience.
Writers are Entrepreneurs Too! - A forum for our St. Lucia Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition National Award winners to share their experience and stories. Hear from some of our young writers, and some published authors, and learn how being a writer qualifies as being an Entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship Fail Forward Night - Being held in collaboration with Melly’s Mix It Up and New Leaf Wellness Center. Fail Forward Night will offer candid storytelling you won’t want to miss, then network with your entrepreneurship community. This event is specifically for persons in the South of the island. The entrance fee is $10 and there will be comfort food and drinks on sale.
