The U.S. Trade Delegation, represented by the founding members of the USKGZBC and USTJBC – AGCO, Baker & McKenzie, and General Electric – and a newer member, the American Councils for International Education, also included corporations such as AES, Amity Technology, APR Energy, The Coca-Cola Company, John Deere, Mobilized Construction, Visa and WHITE64. In the view of the delegates and their regional hosts, the high-caliber of participating companies and the enthusiastic reception by the countries’ top leadership contributed to the success of the mission. Discussions of the existing and emerging opportunities across all sectors of industry highlighted the value of engaging with these two countries and developing best practices and strategies that are aligned with their investment priorities and business needs. Throughout, the delegates and their hosts expressed their mutual commitment to “win-win” solutions. USKGZBC and USTJBC are committed to attracting more American companies to these markets and anticipate holding two business roundtables in New York during the Kyrgyz and Tajik presidential visits in September 2017.
The USKGZBC and USTJBC would like to express deep gratitude to the government offices of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, including their embassies in Washington, DC. Special thanks to U.S. Embassy Bishkek, U.S. Embassy Dushanbe, AmCham Kyrgyz Republic, AmCham Tajikistan, Hyatt Regency Bishkek and Hyatt Regency Dushanbe for their help in organizing the visit.
