This week, GEN and its partners announced the recipients of two grant opportunities, both administered through GEN's Small Business Grants Program, which has connected entrepreneurs with over $15 million in funding since launching in 2020.
The AccelerateHER Fund, sponsored by Tiger Global Impact Ventures, in partnership with GEN and Hello Alice, awarded grants up to $50,000 to women entrepreneurs leading tech or tech-enabled small businesses. Recipients will use the funding to help them get to the next big milestone on their entrepreneurial journey. Meet the recipients here.
40 grants of $20,000 were awarded through the Antares REACH program, presented by Antares Capital in partnership with GEN and Hello Alice to early-stage small businesses led by diverse and underrepresented founders. Of the recipients, which were chosen from a pool of over 100,000 applications, 90 percent are businesses led by individuals of color, and 88 percent are led by females or gender non-conforming persons. The founders will use the grants to introduce products, expand their regional presence, and further promote a positive social impact within the communities in which they operate.
