For the first year ever; all counties across the state of Hawai'i are participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week. Volunteers and members of the private business sector, nongovernmental and governmental organizations across the state are the stakeholders and in the planning team. The goal is to present statewide activities and events – at no charge to the attendee, making it easier for anyone who wants to start and scale a business or organization.
Topics planned include:
- Hawaiian Women in Tech;
- Creating Powerful Business Plans and Financial Projections;
- Small Business Cybersecurity: Risks and Management;
- How to Access Funding Sources for Entrepreneurs;
- Tips for running a Successful Non-Profit; and more.
In the works is a series of video vignettes with local entrepreneurs telling their story of the challenges and rewards along their road to success. "In Hawai'i, we call this 'Talk Story'" – said Lori Fisher, chair of the GEW Aloha State. Check out our website as plans develop here: GEW-AlohaState.org.
