Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs (MAFE), a Detroit based nonprofit organization, will host the 2020 Women Entrepreneurs Conference to recognize and celebrate women entrepreneurs in Michigan during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
The event will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2020 and will be the first time the event will be held virtually since its inception in 2012. Building on GEW’s theme of inclusion, the Women Entrepreneurs Conference brings together some of Michigan’s most influential business experts and entrepreneurs to educate, inspire, connect and celebrate women in business. The theme for this year’s conference is “Women Entrepreneurs in the Digital Economy.”
This premier event will not only unite the most powerful women business owners and entrepreneurs in the region but will also showcase their great achievements. The event will feature keynote presentations, power talks from inspiring thought leaders, engaging panel discussions with extraordinary female entrepreneurs, high-profile and quality networking opportunities, and the 2020 Female Entrepreneur of the Year award.
I founded MAFE in 2003 after working as an entrepreneur and global champion for women’s economic empowerment. I work to help thousands of women turn their entrepreneurial aspirations into realization. I also lead delegations of women entrepreneurs to countries across the globe to help women business owners broaden their exposure to international trade and export opportunities and gain access to international markets.
In addition, I serve as the GEW Community Organizer for Detroit. I'm actively working to build strong entrepreneurial ecosystems in Detroit by unifying key stakeholders to organize events during GEW 2020.
