Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital Network

VA Program Leverages GEN Accelerates for Scalability + Program Management

The Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital network—the largest healthcare provider in the US—partnered with GEN Accelerates to implement a multi-site program designed to promote rapid innovation that can be quickly taken to scale across the network.

Leveraging the GEN Accelerates platform as its technical underpinning and alongside VA leadership, GEN Accelerates tied together a distributed network of employees and staff members, across 32 VA hospital locations, into one, hybrid program (virtual/live meeting), empowering the VA Hospital Network to:

  • Quickly and cohesively roll out deep programming network-wide that covered Idea-to-MVP and Scaleup curricula
  • Establish a metric-driven regime, enabling local sites to effectively test and validate individual projects before disseminating them across the system
  • Seamlessly manage a diverse population of participant ventures, from Idea-Stage to Early-Stage, through pilots and scaling
  • Efficiently develop top-down programming, including summits, education content, and meeting management

“The platform solves several of the challenges we have in running a large scale innovation program. Now we can run a virtual cohort with all the educational content and resources they need and have the KPIs and level of assessment we need with our innovators and mentors spread across the country.”
