In cities across the world, a familiar ritual unfolds at the same time each month. A founder steps forward to tell their story — six minutes to share a challenge they’re facing, 20 minutes to crowdsource solutions from the room, and an hour to connect with a community that genuinely wants to see them succeed. This simple, repeatable ritual is what binds Startup Huddle chapters around the world.
During Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, its purpose becomes unmistakable: Together We Build.
Since launching in 2018 as a program run by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Startup Huddle has been rooted in the belief that the collective wisdom and experience of a community is one of the most powerful resources a founder can access. When entrepreneurs speak honestly about their challenges, something shifts. Barriers fall. Insights emerge. Confidence returns. Through this steady practice, ecosystems strengthen — quietly, consistently, one conversation at a time.
As 23 Startup Huddle chapters celebrate GEW 2025, local leaders are using the same global format to build support systems shaped by the needs, culture, and aspirations of their own communities. One entrepreneur at a time. One huddle at a time. One community at a time.

Halifax: Elevating Overlooked Entrepreneurs
In Halifax, Startup Huddle’s mission is rooted in representation and equity.
“Startup Huddle Halifax aims to spotlight underrepresented founders who are tackling real problems with innovative solutions in healthtech, AI, and other tech-enabled ventures. Our core mission is to elevate entrepreneurs who are often overlooked by traditional funding and networking channels due to systemic biases.
"This is more than just a tech showcase; it’s a mission-aligned effort. We're seeking to amplify the voices and successes of founders from our communities who are creating scalable companies. By providing a consistent and inclusive platform for these entrepreneurs to share their journey and biggest challenges, we can help them gain the visibility, connections, and constructive feedback they need to thrive. Ultimately, this ensures that the future of Halifax’s innovation ecosystem is both diverse and prosperous.
"Halifax founders embody resilience, creativity, and community-mindedness. While larger cities often prioritize fierce competition, Halifax founders operate with a collaborative ethos. There's a shared understanding that success isn't just about individual achievement but about lifting the entire community. This mindset is reflected in a vibrant ecosystem where entrepreneurs are not just building businesses; they're building a stronger, more inclusive city. This supportive network, fuelled by a collective desire for everyone to succeed, makes the entrepreneurial spirit here both unique and truly inspiring,” comments Katerina Msafari, local organizer for Startup Huddle Halifax in Canada.
Casablanca: Resilience + Creativity
“The entrepreneurial spirit in Casablanca is a blend of resilience and creativity. Here, entrepreneurs don’t just build businesses — they hustle, adapt, and constantly reinvent themselves. This energy is rooted in Morocco’s cultural heritage and its openness to the world,” says Lamyaa El Basitti, organizer for Startup Huddle Casablanca. “We want to spotlight dreamers who dare to act. Whether they are deeptech inventors, social innovators, women entrepreneurs, or students launching their first venture, every story matters.”
Karachi: The Bridge This Ecosystem Needs
In Karachi, the landscape is rich in creativity and technical talent — but founders often face limited funding pathways and regulatory hurdles. “Startup Huddle can be the bridge this ecosystem needs,” says Syed Rizwan Ali, chapter lead for Startup Huddle Karachi. “Each monthly session builds continuity. Founders receive feedback, show progress, and connect with mentors from academia and industry. Over time, this creates a support loop that turns one-off pitches into sustainable ventures.”
Across continents, the message remains the same: when a community gathers to help a founder, the whole ecosystem grows stronger. That is the heart of Startup Huddle. And that is what Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 reminds us:
Together We Build — stronger leaders, stronger networks, and stronger local economies.
