As we begin the new year, we wanted to share a short snapshot of what your engagement helped make possible in 2025 and where that momentum is taking us next – much of which we will announce during our presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos later this month.
Over the past year, the global community that sustains GEN has been hard at work. Together, we have supported 2.24 million entrepreneurs through our programs while mobilizing $4M+ in funding for founders and small business owners.
There were too many programs and milestones that occurred in 2025 to single out in a year-end recap, let alone a message looking ahead to the next 12 months. But here is a glance at what you have helped accomplish:
- Global Reach at Scale: GEN programs – including another record-breaking year for Global Entrepreneurship Week – and hundreds of its partners supported entrepreneurs and ecosystems across thousands of communities in more than 200 countries, reinforcing entrepreneurship as a truly global engine of opportunity.
- Capital, Connections + Capability: Through initiatives such as the Equitable Access Program, Small Business Grants Program, Entrepreneurship World Cup, GEN Connect and other programs, founders gained access to capital pathways, mentors, and markets that materially improved their chances of success.
- Stronger Local Ecosystems + One Global Ecosystem: GEN worked alongside governments, investors, and support organizations to strengthen national and regional ecosystems – moving from isolated programs to coordinated, long-term capacity building.
In the year ahead, we are building on this foundation with deeper sector focus (including AI-driven innovation), expanded ecosystem leadership training, and new ways to connect founders, investors, and policymakers across borders – at greater scale and with sharper impact.
