The Creative Entrepreneurs Summit event was held on Thursday, 4th April 2019 at the Enterprise Development Centre. The Theme of the day was “Cashing in on your Creativity”.
The Summit brought together players in the creative industries, particularly those entrepreneurs who had applied but were not shortlisted. The Summit created a platform for them alongside other attendees to learn, connect and network with more seasoned entrepreneurs in the sector

The highpoint of the event was a panel session on ‘Creatives: their strengths, strategies, scaling and pathway to profit’ moderated by Mrs Nneka Okekearu, Deputy Director, EDC. The conversation highlighted the need for creatives to harness their talents and creativity for profitability. One of the strategies they suggested to help achieve this was focusing on their core skills which align with the business objectives and assigning other aspects of the business to those that can manage them.

The event gathered an impressive audience: 200 powerful competitors and countless promising ideas. The Danish ambassador in Nigeria, Jesper Kamp celebrated the day with competitors and founders.
