The Startup Nations Policy Dialogue - Paraguay 2024 took place at the Auditorium Hall of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on Friday, August 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During this event, topics related to business development and the connection of services offered in technology centers were discussed. Participants included members of the National Development Agency of Uruguay (ANDE) and representatives from Entrepreneur Support Centers in various cities, including Concepción, Horqueta, Caaguazú, Ciudad del Este, Hohenau, Luque, Pilar, Itapúa, and Asunción.
The main objective was to explore public initiatives supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs in Uruguay, as well as to analyze interinstitutional networking strategies. This event represents an important step in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Paraguay and promoting business development.
During the dialogue, actions, projects, and programs driven by the Vice Ministry of SMEs were presented, focusing on market exploration, opportunities, and financing for entrepreneurs. Additionally, best practices implemented by Uruguay’s National Development Agency were shared.
A highlight was the intervention of Vice Minister of SMEs, Gustavo Giménez, who emphasized the collaboration between Paraguay’s Entrepreneur Support Centers and Uruguay’s National Development Agency (ANDE). Throughout the day, experiences were detailed, and a strategy was outlined to enhance the development of Paraguayan entrepreneurs.
In summary, the Startup Nations Policy Dialogue became a key space for service connection and the promotion of business innovation in the country. Through this initiative, the goal is to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and provide the necessary support for Paraguayan entrepreneurs to reach their full potential
