Bangladesh, Dhaka - Sigmind is a video machine learning start-up, captured first prize at the national finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup competition held recently in Dhaka. Tanvir Tabassum, the founder of Sigmind, captured the first prize and advances to the next round of the global competition against national winners from 184 countries.
“Sigmind integrated state-of-the-art machine learning based technologies to detect objects, faces, firearms in real-time from multiple cameras feeds on its powerful server. The system has some innovative technologies like real-time search on video space for specific incident detection and posts analysis,” says Tabassum. “Sigmind made this technology available to clients like government, corporate clients and even a simple house owner. Sigmind reduces the work-force to operate the cameras by 80%.”
In preparation for the EWC Global Finals, Tanvir Tabassum will participate in an acceleration program which features virtual training and one-to-one mentoring with international mentors to prepare for the EWC Global Final, which will be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on November 12-14, 2019.

More than 102,000 contestants from 184 countries entered the Entrepreneurship World Cup. The initiative combines a broad-reaching pitch competition, aimed at ventures ranging from idea stage to growth stage, with a virtual accelerator program to help all participants launch, strengthen and scale their enterprises. Global Finalists will face off against one another at the Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2019.
